The Background.
Sennit Construction were approached by the client’s project co-ordinator Millar Surveyors to submit costs for thermally upgrading a 19th Century Manor House on the coast of Gourock. Sennit won the project through competitive tendering and works commenced late August 2019 which were completed within budget and agreed timescale.
The Work.
Sennit who was acting as principal contractor were responsible for Managing and completing the project with a 5 week deadline.
Site assemble commenced August 2019 and complied with CDM regulations and health and safety regulations, this involved working with the factors and residents who had personal car park spaces to ensure that we had compound space.
Roofing works involved thermally upgrading the existing roof to meet regulations with 90mm Sika Decotherm insulation board before encapsulating with Sika Decothane Ultra waterproofing system
6no of chimneys which were bossed and cracked were stripped back to original brick before being rendered with K-Rend render including all laths and beads
Upon completion of the project which was within time and budget and to a highest standard, Sennit provided a 20-year material and workmanship guarantee through our approved contractor scheme with Sika Liquid Plastic
